Shining the Spotlight on Area’s State Parks

Can you name St. Pete/Clearwater’s five breathtaking state parks? Did you know that one of them is Florida’s most visited state park for the sixth year in a row? Friends of Florida State Parks is giving you the chance to get familiar with them.

Throughout November, Friends of Florida State Parks is shining the spotlight on these very vital tourism spots in our destination. It’s all part of their effort to work hand-in-hand with destinations to showcase another side of Florida.

The five parks being featured are: Honeymoon Island (the most visited park in Florida the past six years), Caladesi Island State Park, Egmont Key State Park, Anclote Key Preserve State Park and Skyway Fishing Pier State Park.

In conjunction with the month-long promotion of the parks, 25 trees will be planted and 100 one-day Florida State Park passes will be given out through connected marketing initiatives.
